Zero OS V4: communication via shorter and fully encrypted routes
Zero OS is the operating system that powers 3Nodes and is the foundation of the ThreeFold network. These nodes are independent computers running at individuals and businesses . This innovative system makes it possible to provide capacity for storage and computing power without central servers or data centers. This allows users to operate completely independently while contributing to a free Internet.
The latest version, Zero OS V4, brings improvements in stability, performance, security and efficiency. Unlike the current V3 version, which still communicates in part over traditional networks, V4 will operate entirely over Mycelium, a decentralized network protocol that connects devices without the involvement of central servers and ensures secure and efficient communication between devices. This means that all communications follow shorter and fully encrypted routes, increasing speed and significantly improving user privacy and security.
An important next step is integration with the TF Connect app. This allows users to decide which node or farm to store their data on, and yields can be correctly assigned to the owner of the node (the farmer).
3Phone: The smartphone for digital freedom
The 3Phone will be a revolutionary step toward digital freedom. This device, based on the Volla operating system, allows users to communicate securely and independently without the interference of big tech platforms. Through Mycelium, the 3Phone offers a fully decentralized way to send messages, store documents and send emails.
The first devices have arrived and are being optimized in collaboration with early users.

3Router: traffic controller of the decentralized Internet
In addition to the 3Phone, ThreeFold is also introducing the 3Router. This device is designed to establish a secure and decentralized network connection without depending on traditional Internet providers. A router acts as a kind of traffic controller for the Internet. It ensures that messages, videos and other data go the right way, from one device to another, so you can surf, stream or send messages effortlessly.
The 3Router makes this possible within the ThreeFold network, allowing users to connect directly to a decentralized Internet without the intervention of central servers. Thanks to Mycelium technology, this connection not only becomes more secure and efficient, but also contributes to a more resilient network.

AI Box: Decentralized AI for Everyone
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is becoming increasingly important in our daily lives, but most AI services run on central servers of large tech companies. ThreeFold introduces the AI Box, an innovative solution that allows users to run AI models without depending on these servers.

ThreeFold at the ETH Denver Conferention
ThreeFold recently attended the ETH Denver conference, one of the largest events in blockchain and decentralized technology.
At this event, ThreeFold presented its vision of an energy-efficient, free and independent Internet to a wide audience of developers, investors and innovators. This led to valuable conversations with blockchain projects and companies showing interest in the ThreeFold network.
